Meet Shanimarie Ogilvie

Hi There!, I’m Shanimarie Ogilvie. If you want to learn more about mastering your craft, using your voice and enhancing student learning, then you’re in the right place.

I help elementary teachers with 0 to 10 years of experience to manage their classrooms and effectively instruct young learners so that both student and teacher will feel fulfilled.

My primary focus is making sure that teachers have a foundational base that will allow them to master their craft with proven strategies.

Through coaching and facilitation, elementary teachers will be on a path to teaching mastery.  I’m also known for my listening skills, non-judgmental, results oriented, laser focused approach to instruction and classroom management.

Additionally, I earned an undergraduate degree in Business at Rutgers University- Camden. However, I knew that education was my passion and decided to pursue a career in this field.

I taught kindergarten and first grade at a public school for seven years. I also worked as a Master Mentor Teacher/Instructional Coach for Rutgers University- School System Improvement Project, and then transitioned to work as an instructional coach for a charter school. My previous work also includes Director of Curriculum and Instruction.

I also earned my Master of Education and a Supervisor Certification from Montclair State University.  I have spoken at the Rutgers School Culture and Improvement Project on implementing school culture goals; I currently work as an ELA Content Reviewer.  I enjoy learning about educational research best practices for teaching and innovative curricula. I believe that all children can become lifelong learners despite their socioeconomic status.
